Michael Shewmaker - Sculpture

Ophid - Latin for Snake Like - is an 8 foot stainless steel sculpture on a base of Lilikoi (passion fruit) vines. The lush nature of East Hawaii has led me to incorporate plants in my sculpture installations. Everything here is growing in one way or another so it makes sense to take advantage of it if I can keep the maintenance from getting out of control.
